change multiple Ip not working

Sorry, xxx.202.68.247 is in use by another domain name and is not a shared ip

I am trying to change a dozen accounts to the reseller's main shared IP. His reseller account is setup properly and assigned the above IP as a shared IP. I double checked everything but this is not working.

No one else is using that IP

I ran /etc/init.d/ipaliases start but that didn't fix it.

Strange.

I deleted an old reseller that was using the shared IP (already was deleted in WHM but not in /var/cpanel/mainips)

I also ran

/scripts/updateuserdomains
/scripts/updateuserdomains2
/scripts/fixnamed
/scripts/rebuildnamedconf
service named restart

I confirmed the shared IP for the new reseller is listed in /var/cpanel/mainips/resellerfilename

I am having the same problems. Looking around and will post if I come up with a solution.

Also may want to check and edit these files as cPanel doesnt remove entries from deleted resellers well. If resellers have come and gone all their entries will still be in these files.

/var/cpanel/resellers
/var/cpanel/resellers-nameservers
/var/cpanel/reseller-limits-bynumber
/var/cpanel/reseller-number-accounts
/var/cpanel/reseller-resource-accounts
/var/cpanel/reseller-resource-limits
/var/cpanel/reseller-resource-overselling
/var/cpanel/packages

ETC ECT you may want to clean out all the old data from these files as well.

Yeah havent found a solution yet and now its getting serious because I have 4 new resellers today and I cannot change their transferred account to their shared IP. maybe time to open a bug ticket?

Downgrading cPanel to stable 31 fixed the issue for me, give it a try.
