    hy,

I have more and more registrations of existing .net .com .org domains which like to change their domain to me.
But I don't know how I can replace the nameservers with my owns.
Is there a possibility to change nameservers independently of where they were registered?
Or how have I to solve this problem?

    Greetz, dave.

Nameservers must be changed at the registrar.

but then I need the account information of my new customer.. and some registrars don't offer this option to their clients.. or is that wrong?
some clients let register their new domain from their hoster and they don't now where and how to change that..

    is there not another solution?

    how are you handling this?

    greetz,

The customer has to have this information. If he does not, then you can always do a whois search to find out the registrar. If the customer is listed as the administrative contact, then he can contact the registrar to arrange for changes to his account. Some registrars charge money for changing information. There are also some unscrupulous hosts who register the domains in their name so that the customer cannot switch hosting companies.

In short, there are no easy ways to get changes to a whois record. It is the customer that must make these changes through his own registrar.
