Change outgoing mail IP address and PTR records

Hi, I was getting emails bounced by gmail so changed my outgoing mail IP address as per instructions, which works fine, I can now send to gmail again. However some other email providers are bouncing emails with "Service not available - no PTR record for [my new ip address for outgoing mail]". Is there a way to fix this? I'm on an unmanaged server with root access.

Hello :)

You will need to contact your web hosting provider or data center and have them setup RDNS for the IP address you are sending your mail from pointing to the hostname of your server.
