im using cpanel server with cent os 4.5 and facing problem to change the main ip of the server. i have got a 8 new ip (5 usable) and would like to use one of them as new server main ip.

    1. i tried adding the ip using whm interface and the ip pinging perfectly. then i removed this ip back.

    2. i edited the /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 and when i restarted the network service, the server stop connected to the internet and all ip's not pinging anymore. im sure i have entered all the values correctly.

is there any other file i need to edit to make sure changing main server ip is success?

    thank you
