    Hi

I have a vps which we're using to host an eCommerce site and this is the only site that will be hosted on this vps.

In order to install the ssl certifictate it needs to be on a dedicated ip address so my question is can i chnage the default shared ip address to be a dedicated ip address and how would i do this.

If this is not possible would i need to purchase a new ip address and then make this the shared ip address and make the current ip address dedicated or is there another way rounf this?

    Many Thanks for your help

    Jason

Just to clarify, do you have cPanel installed on your VPS and is this sharing the IP? As said you can get additional IPs from your host.
