I am trying to get email on my blackberry. Using the pop3 settings, I am unable to receive email. Forwarding them to the blackberry email account is not an option. This is what I get from BlackBerry:

Here is what you need to tell your mail provider:

You need to tell them that they need to change the way the unique identifiers (UIDs) are generated for new messages. Currently they are generated sequentially until the server is cleared. If there are 5 messages on the server before the messages are taken off the next message after the reset should start at 6 instead of resetting back to 1 again.

    BlackBerry's System:

    MsgNumber Found Uid
    4 Aug 20 2007 4:44PM 4
    3 Aug 20 2007 4:37PM 3
    2 Aug 20 2007 4:34PM 2
    1 Aug 20 2007 4:34PM 1

    > After server is emptied

    # UID Size
    1 1 4.81 KB

No messages will be received on the BlackBerry until there is a UID on the server the BlackBerry hasn't seen. So in this case no messages will be received until the 5th message has been received on the server.

Can someone tell me how to change this?
