Hi, I'm trying to move one account from one server to my new server. However when I try to move I get a error saying that a user already exist on the new server with the same name. But the new server doesnt have any. However when I was setting up the new server I used askmediy as something not sure and I did notice that there is a user group with the same name. Is there a way to change that name. ?

I can't change the user name on the old server as it will take down that site.

    Thank you

Can you find out where exactly you used this name already? Its next to impossible to tell where you set that name at. Also, are you sure there is no accounts on the server at this time? Can you please check the List Accounts part of WHM?

    Hello :)

Check to see if the user exists on the destination server. You could use commands such as:
    Code:
    # id username
    # stat /home/username
    # stat /var/cpanel/users/username
    # stat /var/cpanel/userdata/username
    # grep username /etc/*
    # grep username /var/cpanel/databases/*
    Thank you.
