Change width of wrapped line in file editor

If a line of code in the editor is too wide, we can click the double arrow icon to wrap the text lines. However the wrapped text is only 80 characters wide.

Is it possible to tweak a setting so that wrapped lines are 100% of screen width?

Hey there! At this time there isn't an option that will control that. This would make a nice feature request, though, if you wanted to open one using the link in my signature.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I will not participate in feature request sites that take votes, the entire concept is flawed.

If an idea is good enough it should be implemented on merit, not on popularity as decided by a minuscule number of cpanel users who participate in the feature forum.

You're not wrong - I'm on the team that's working on a new features site, and we plan to completely overhaul it soon. Not soon enough, but soon!

A year goes by and no progress on this issue ... or the features site. Why “feature request” sites suck

What specific progress were you hoping for - a whole new site? In an ideal world, we'd move this into Zendesk so all our user logins/usernames/accounts could be in one place, but there's a few larger projects that will happen before that.

The good news is that I've pushed to change how features get handled so they don't linger for years without some type of action, and that seems to be going well.

We haven't changed the feature site at this point, although it will happen sometime. Changes to Forums are coming first. We have completely changed how features get handled, as the goal of any incoming feature it to get some type of response from a product owner within 30 days. The votes don't really determine if something will get added to the product or not, but it does help us to see public interest.
