    Hi,
Is there a simple way to make all the sites on a server use the same cpanel in 1 pass... or do we have to do each one manually in the modify account area???

Over 1500 sites.. that would take some time. There must be a simple way.

    Thanks,

    Tim L

Do you mean update all themes at once?
    Very easy
just do a search and replace within /var/cpanel/users/*
replace &theme& with &newtheme& , for any text that matches the old theme's name.

or did you mean something else?

    hi,
Yes,,, that is what I mean.

Do you happen to know the shell line that I could use to replace all the cpanel themes at one shot?

I knew it is all in /var/cpanel/users ,,, but how do I make the statement to change all themes that are not &new them& ... I haven't had the time to learn the shell programming I need.

We have I would guess 4 or 5 themes on the servers in use, and I would like a fast line to make them all change to the new theme.

    Thank you,

    Tim L

this is an example: (use this command in a SSH session)

    replace RS=default RS=iconic -- user

it replaces default theme to iconic in user file

also it could be used for multiple replacements

    replace RS=t1 RS=theme RS=t2 RS=theme RS=t3 RS=theme RS=t4 RS=theme -- users

this command replaces t4, t3 t2 & t1 to theme in user file

modify it to what you need
