Changing email password - through web email client - possible ? - not through cpanel

we have some clients that we would prefer not logging into cpanel

rather, we will give them a cms to run their stuff and also provide web-based email

is there a way to allow users to change their email passwords just through a web-based email system?

Sure, if the user visits domain.com/webmail there is an option there for changing the account password, before you actually login to the chosen webmail client.

i just read that cpanel has an api and that some cms systems have webmail plugins that work with cpanel without requiring logging into cpanel
