Changing hostname for ptr record error

Hola como están, por favor me gustaría saber si pueden ayudarme con el siguiente problema, mi proveedor de VPS me dice que tengo que cambiar el nombre de host al siguiente: mail.estesemidominio.com pero cuando lo intento cambiar WHM me da este error: The hostname may not begin with "mail." Because it conflicts with an automatically configured domain.

Se supone que tengo que hacer esto para que el registro PTR resuelva correctamente.

Hello @vancho73,

Can you contact your hosting provider and let them know that "mail.domain.tld" is not a valid hostname with cPanel & WHM? We note this under the Important block on the Change Hostname document:

Do not choose a potential service subdomain as a hostname (for example, cpanel.example.com or whm.example.com).

Your provider should be able to setup the PTR record for the configured hostname (e.g. server.domain.tld) for email deliverable purposes.
