Back a few months ago when I first set up my server, I used the hostname/domain server1.lakeandstream.com because it was the only domain that was available. Since that time, I have switched everything and freed up the original domain that I wanted to use. I have switched the server name over to server1.fourmattech.com through WHM. The problem is that I am still see the name server1.lakeandstream.com when it comes to some email functions.

For example if you look at this header, you can see two different server names sprinkled throughout, server1.lakeandstream.com, and server1.fourmattech.com,

Where can I go through and set the hostname to the proper one? The only reason I set up the temporary one was because I thought that I could change it easily. Thanks for the help!

    Same here

I also have a similar problem. My old hostname seems to haunt me....! Any suggestions to fully get rid of my old hostname from the system?

    Thanks,
    Alex

What do you see in /etc/hosts?

The content of the /etc/hosts file says:

    Code:
    69.44.56.220 server1.fourmattech.com server1 fourmattech server1.lakeandstream.com
    127.0.0.1 localhost
Can i safely remove the server1.lakeandstream.com from the end of this line?

    Thanks.
