Changing vhost from default port 80 to 8081?

Have an account that havs been created that uses port 80 by default as expected. Looking to have this port changed to 8081. I know that I should not use httpd.conf as this will be overwritten by cPanel. Instead I made changes to an include file found at /var/cpanel/userdata/useraccount/domain.name. In this file I changed port:80 to port:8081?

Would this resolve this issue? So far it hasn't. Do I need to rebuild and restart Apache. EasyApache actually seems kind of complicated. Maybe I am not ad familiar with Apache as I should. What else should I be doing here. Are there any other configurations that should be made?

Just an update I want the default port 80 to remain. I just want to change one vhost directive?

Hello

There are no native options in cPanel/WHM that allow for this type of change. I'm not aware of any specific custom workaround to have a single Virtual Host running on a separate port than what is defined globally, but the following documentation may be helpful to you for making a change itself:
