Never seen this one before... had a server with ~3,300 processes. ~2500 of them zombies.

All GD related.. checkgd, installgd, cleangd...

Started happening around this mornings update time, after killall'ing installgd, I found my upcp email was over 7 megs when I got it.. eeek.

This is all on an older Redhat 7.2 box, which may have something to do with it.. going to try and manually upgrade all the gd related goodies and see what happens during the next upcp I guess...

Just incase anyone else finds themselves in a similar situation.. I did each step (or tried to) of the installgd script by hand.

GD itself was balking out, apparently some Freetype2 related problem.. a manual re-install/upgrade of freetype2 solved that, and then the installgd script was able to run itself happily to completion.

Hopefully this will stop the "thousands of gd processes during upcp" from happening to me again. ;)
