checksvrd monitoring apache

Scenario:
Apache is bound to only one single IP address (from many on the box). This IP is the main IP of the machine.
When chkservd runs its checks, it seems to try and restart apache because it believes it's not running - however it is. Is it looking at the other IP's that Apache doesn't use? Any idea why it keeps trying to restart it?
