    Hello,

I have been using Chripy's dictionary attack for quite some wqhile with great succes. thanks Chripy!

Today I found a trhead about some trasnport errors and rebuilt Exim from scratch to see if that can help. Then when I tried to add his dictionary rules I got this:

2006-01-03 17:54:58 Exim configuration error in line 282 of /etc/exim.conf.buildtest:
error in ACL: unknown ACL condition/modifier in "is blacklisted at $dnslist_domain see $dnslist_text"
    Exim version 4.52 #1 built 28-Jul-2005 08:05:02
Copyright (c) University of Cambridge 2005
Berkeley DB: Sleepycat Software: Berkeley DB 4.1.25: (February 27, 2004)
Support for: iconv() PAM Perl OpenSSL Content_Scanning Old_Demime
Lookups: lsearch wildlsearch nwildlsearch iplsearch dbm dbmnz
    Authenticators: cram_md5 plaintext spa
Routers: accept dnslookup ipliteral manualroute queryprogram redirect
    Transports: appendfile autoreply pipe smtp
Configuration file has an invalid syntax. Please try again.

What the hell? When I look a that line I see this:

deny message = Message rejected because $sender_fullhost
is blacklisted at $dnslist_domain see $dnslist_text
    !hosts = +relay_hosts
    !authenticated = *
    dnslists = dnsbl.njabl.org :
    bl.spamcop.net :
    sbl.spamhaus.org :
    list.dsbl.org :
    cbl.abuseat.org :
    relays.ordb.org
    # RBL Bypass Local Domain List
    !domains = +rbl_bypass
    # RBL Whitelist incoming hosts
    !hosts = +rbl_whitelist

What is this? Does the new Exim4 build come with spam lists without asking me if I want them? I tried to remove that file and run the rebuild again and I still get the same thing. Also, why the heck would this stuff give an error if it was put in by cpanel?

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks :D

    Go on, have a guess
It's probably picking up old changes you had in from /etc/exim.conf.local. If you want to start from a clean exim install, use:

    /scripts/reseteximtodefaults

    Or:

    cd /etc
    mv exim.conf.local exim.conf.local.old
    /scripts/buildeximconf
    service exim restart
