Hi all!

My name is David I'm new here but not using cpanel :)

I have a little prob with this service checker, I changed my FTP port from 21 to other, for secuirty reasons, and i'm receiving one email each 5 mins from
ChkServd, I take a look to the file in this exactly line, but is not defined there the port.

I entered to
/etc/chkserv.d/ftpd

and modify the port in the first line and restart the ChkServd with this command

/scripts/restartsrv_tailwatchd

But still sending emails...

The email I receive is the following =>

Failure Reason: Unable to connect to connect to 21 on 127.0.0.1: Connection refused: connect: Connection refused ...propagated at /usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/TailWatch/ChkServd.pm line 454.

Greetens! and thanks!

Hello,

This was already discussed in another thread:

http://forums.cpanel.net/f5/trouble-assigning-alternate-ftp-port-189082.html#post774771

You are going to have to uncheck having it monitored by chkservd because it will keep rechanging it back to port 21 in that file and restart the service. You might post a feature request to allow an alternate port in WHM > FTP Server Configuration area. The link to post a feature request would be this one:

http://go.cpanel.net/iwant

Thanks!
Thanks for your valuable information.
