    Can someone tell me how to setup chkservd to scan for down services every 5 minutes instead of every 30 minutes.

    Thanks

    chkservd check services each 5 minute by default i am sure. you may need update your cpanel and then setup chkservd if it work incorrect by running command /usr/local/cpanel/install/chkservdsetup

    chkservd daemon runs every after 500 seconds by default ( approximately about 8 minutes ). To change this value, i.e if we want this daemon to check services every after 5 minutes, change the sleep value from the following file to 300:
    /usr/local/cpanel/libexec/chkservd

    part of code present in /usr/local/cpanel/libexec/chkservd
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------
    servicerestart($service,$restart);
    } else {
    print '+';
    servicefile($service,'+');
    }
    print qq{]...};
    alarm(0);
    close(SC); # Close open socket just in case
    }
    print "Done\n";

    childcheck();

    sleep(500);

    childcheck();
    }
    close(LOG);
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------

    Restart chkservd services once you make the changes.
    #service chkservd restart

    thats all.
