chmod permissions

    Hi,

    I want to delete a folder(file) of particular user thru SSH but it is giving me the error permission denied so, i want to change the permissions for that particular folder and file it is giving me this error

    chmod 755 index.html
    chmod: changing permissions of `index.html': Operation not permitted

    pls guide what should i do?

    cPanel Access Level:
    Root Administrator
    Have you tried doing a "chown"?
