Hey everyone! I have released a cPanel login theme I created called Chromatic to the public. It's licensed it under GPLv3 so you’re free to do what you wish with it.

Chromatic is fully XHTML 1.1 and CSS3 valid. The theme uses no images (except for the favicon) and all styling is done via CSS. It’s tested with Firefox3 and 4, Opera 10, Safari 5, Google Chrome 5 & 6 and IE8.

This theme is great as a elegant streamlined login thats considerably smaller then the default cPanel login theme.

A screenshot (using Chrome on Mac) is below:

To download the theme, the link is at the bottom of my release blog post below:

Yup. To make it work you have to change cPanel's default login theme in tweak settings to chromatic. You may need to restart your browser or clear your cache to see the changes after that.

Great Job

Nice looking theme. It's good to see brave souls that will dare attempt something for the masses with CSS3. Granted, you'd be stupid to install if you're using IE6, but most of us here are smarter than that. So, thanks for the welcome addition

Yeah I highly advise against supporting IE6 if you're a web dev/designer. If you support it you're not helping to get rid of it.

Can you imagine someone who has been surfing the web on only IE6? To him the internet would go from amazing and everything works to everything becoming progressively distorted and non-functional. Then he would go to his text blog which is hosted on his own Windows 2000 server and rant about the continued degradation of the internet.
