    Would it cause a problem to cluster DNS servers in a "circle" ?

    Right now I'm set up like:

    Server1 <-> Server2 <-> Server3 <-> Server4

    Would it cause a problem to have Server4 clustered back to Server1 creating a closed loop?

    I'm not sure why would want to do this. All the exchanges would certainly drive the loads up on those machines, however since each request has a unique id it would only be processed on each machine once.

    Thanks, Nick . . . Although it may be flawed, my reasoning is that in case one machine falls out of the middle of the chain, the updates could go either way around the "circle" keeping all the other servers current.

    If that would cause high loads, then it is probably not a good idea to prevent a "what if" case.
