Installed clam via WHM and ran the mail scan found in the domains control panel.

Well it appeared to work fine it found 11 infected e-mails.

So I clicked destroy infected emails....

It deleted every inbox folder on that domain.

Yikes!! Turn this feature off until thats fixed

Yeah a skid mark from when I crapped my pants.

Luckily it was just our domain, and we backup our e-mail nightly.

Can you imagine if we had run a scan on the whole server?

Would it have deleted everything on the serveR? =P

    Submitting bug report now.

"Never Run Beta Stuff On A Production Server"

It may seem to rock in superficial tests but the acid test comes on taking a deeper dive :)

Well, next time I will learn to *read* before launching beta modules :p
Anyway, I noticed that clam erased only the inbox files containing viruses, it did not erase any other scanned inbox file. So I guess the scanning works properly, it's the "delete" feature that deletes a tad too much.

if you use imap, did it also change permissions on INBOX.* files in your email directory?

    Use disinfect, not destroy.
