The clamav connector installs Clamav on its own?

if so,

would it conflict with the exiscan+clamav package i installed?

Yes the version till now certainly does. However the new version being released in 1-2 days will auto detect installation of clamav and thus prevent any such conflicts.

So the best thing to do is install the clamav connector first, then install the exiscan package?

No, you only need one, choose which one you want to use.

Clamavconnector & my package both work in same manner except clamavconnector has an extra feature of allowing users to scan their files and mail boxes, also forces virus scans on all files in an FTP session.

Clamavconnector has only one disadvantage, once enabled you can't choose to disable the file scans (imagine your users who have thousands of files ? well atleast i have several such users)

Wow i'm glad i asked. I was going to install clamavconnector, and then install your exiscan package.

hmmm... So only install one and not both, correct? Now i'm confused on which one would be better to install lol.

Another question is, once i install either the exiscan or the clamavconnector, can i go in and edit the clamav configuration as i would if i installed clamav manually... or would exiscan or clamavconnector upgrades overwrite my configurations each time?

Thank you in advance for your replies :)

As of now, clamavconnector and cpanelappz package have different configs and clash if one is installed after another. If you want virus scanning in files in FTP, choose cpanel's clamavconnector (it really works great), if not choose cpanelappz package.

Did it come out yet? Is there any changelog pages or anything that would allow me to keep track of new releases for cpanel addons?
