Hello,

I am apparently sucking at google as all my searches for this subject lead me to hosting offers and little detail. Also the docs offered by Cpanel shows little info...

I got three questions if anyone knows.

Is /etc/clamav.conf or /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/etc/clamav.conf file the correct config file for clamav?

Does this file affect clamAV the virus scanner as well?

Finally, it seems scans on mailboxes larger than 100GB ( I got a couple) bails out... Can this be modified?

Thanks in advance to anyone with the wisdom ...

/usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/etc/clamav.conf is now the configuration file for the ClamAV plug-in installed by cPanel. If your server previously had ClamAV installed, either by cPanel or separately, it may have a /etc/clamav.conf file, but that is not the one that is actually in use. cPanel 11.40 is when we shifted from building ClamAV from source to providing an RPM package, and that is why the file moved from /etc to /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/etc.
