We have just discovered that the uk isp http://www.clara.net are blocking access to all cpanel ports, if you have a customer who uses clara.net they will be unable to access their control panel or webmail.

clara.net say"too much adult and sex content on those ports"

Maybe cpanel can contact them as they will not listen to their customers or us.

Personally? Find another provider is what I'd say.

Plus their answer does not hold water, as those are administrative ports and are not used for serving content on the internet. The answer they gave is an excuss for not wanting to deal with it.

Now you can use nph-proxy.cgi to get around this issue. nph-proxy can be used for both http and https connectivity to sites and ports. See http://www.jmarshall.com/tools/cgiproxy/ for details and to download. We use for our clients that are behind firewalls and it works wonderfully.
