We have some ip's being flagged on our server from clients email addresses but when i check to see what ip they are coming from it just shows a google ip

    209.85.215.31
    Host mail-lpp01m010-f31.google.com
    Location US US, United States
    City Mountain View, CA 94043
    Organization Google
    ISP Google
    AS Number AS15169 Google Inc.
    Latitude 37°41'92" North
    Longitude 122°05'74" West

Why would this be if they are trying to access their mail through outlook do they have an app or something that is trying to access mail, or is there or can i just stop google trying to access mail

Gmail can be used to pull email from a server. What is the exact logged message you are seeing for the IP, then next what does "flagged" mean in this instance? What is flagging it and where?

In my cPHulk Brute Force the ips are coming up for failed login attempts. My client swears he is only using outlook, and no other app for accessing email

Please provide the log entry you are seeing in cPHulk Brute Force Protection.

It is possible that he has configured his gmail / google apps account in outlook and is pulling emails from his cpanel to gmail and gmail to outlook.

CPanel >> Gmail >> Outlook, which could also be throwing up the brute force flags.

As cPanelTristan said, you would need to provide a copy-paste of the cphulk log.
