Cloudns and WHM email

hello, I recently added Cloudns for nameservers on my whm panel. I am having issues with webmail on the domains.

When i try to send an email from roundcube, it says connection error (failed to reach the server)!


I'm able to receive mail but not send.

Any thoughts?

Hey there! You'll want to check and see if your server can make outbound email connections in general. From the command line, run this:

telnet gmail-smtp-in.l.google.com 25

If that fails, your hosting provider is likely blocking port 25, so you won't be able to send email from your server.

You can contact your host to see if they can lift that restriction, or you can use a SmartHost to work around that limitation:
