    What does clustering do?
Can I cluster server on different networks?
What is the pros and cons of clustering?

I have no idea I am just subscribing to this thread in case someday someone from Dark Orb decides to grace us with this information. I asked in a support ticket one day. The answer I got back was...

    "It clusters."

Cluster - to collect into a cluster <cluster the tents together>

I know it's supposed to allow you to deal with multiple servers at once, but that's all I know. :D

There are several ways to interpret the word clustering. Some clusters are tons of computers all working together that seemlessly act as one. They are usually a grouping of servers with the EXACT same specs. For instance you could cluster together 4 servers and have one be the DNS server, one be the mail server, one be the db server, etc... But to the operating systems and what not if it was local the machine would really not act as if it knew a difference.

Now as far as cpanel goes it is a little different, the clustering would have a main server most likely and let you do things with the other one. It would be as if the other servers were slave servers and controlled by your one "master" machine of choice. Have fun and go look up stuff on google. Thats how I survived the last 6 years.
