Cname pointing to other domain name

Hi,

I tried to create CNAME pointing to other sub domain name, but it redirected to /cgi/defaultwebpage.cgi

My Senario:

shop.mydomain.com --> myshopname.otherdomain.com(hosted somewhere)

kindly advise, thanks

Hello,

Do you have any additional DNS entries for that specific subdomain within the zone, or in it's own DNS zone? Does the subdomain resolve to the cPanel server's IP address?
