I have a client that is having multiple filiales which each has it's own 3rd level domain like location.domain.com. To point the domain xyz.domain.com to my account I have instructed their server management to point domain to my account using cname:

    www.xyz 14400 IN CNAME mydomain.com

I created new account in cpanel naming it www.xyz.clientdomain.com and pointed ns records to it's origin nameservers (like ns.clientservermanagement.com, other records were left intact)

It's not working/ I can not see the domain binded to my server account

    Can someone please help me

    Thnx
    Alex

    CNAME is not redirect.
    CNAME is alias.

Thanks for clearing that, but it should work anyway, shouldn't it?

If you're including 'www.' in the domain name, then it probably shouldn't work as that's broken. Cpanel will automatically add the www. on the front end, you need to CNAME just xyz.

The most common mistake is to not put a dot on the end of domain names, check out /var/named/xyz.com.db and see if you can find any errors. Check that you can resolve the domain names you expect with the "host domainname.com" command. Check the site with www.dnsstuff.com and www.dnsreport.com.
