I've never tried messing with the profile for cpphp, but you could do your edits and try making the file immutable, chattr +i /local/to/profile and see if it'll retain the changes.

To clarify, you are editing both /var/profiles/easy/apache/profile/makecpphp.profile.yaml and /var/cpanel/easy/apache/profile/makecpphp.profile.yaml then setting Cpanel::Easy::PHP5::Mysqli: from 0 to 1 and running /scripts/makecpphp --force and the profile keeps reverting?

I can't ever access the ticket things, I got a cheap cpanel license so I cant?

Anyways yes it still reverts, this is for the cpanel php that the web mail roundcube/horde use....

MySQLi may speed up roundcube more if not...

can I add php caching to the cpanel php or is it used on things that cant be cached? roundcube is sloowww and the normal apache/php5 is godly fast

If you acquired your license through a licensing provider, asking them for assistance will result in a faster answer. Otherwise, as an alternative, you could submit a ticket via http://tickets.cPanel.net where you will be prompted for the support access ID in WHM. Submitting this way if you acquired your license through a licensing reseller will be slower, but it will put you in touch with our technical analysts.
