Im looked around for a way to add the ability to .ZIP or RAR files currently in my hosting..

is it possible.. I know u can decompress..but can you compress...

im using CPanel 10.8.2-RELEASE 119

gzip, gunzip, zcat - compress or expand files

Install the RPMs, and you will have the functionality through SSH.

Compress within cPanel?

I think he meant within cPanel.

How can one compress a directory or directoy tree within cPanel?
