Concern over cpanel-datastore

Hi

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed that when you log into a users cpanel (through WHM) it puts a file into the users /home/user/.cpanel-datastore folder called reseller_RESELLERSUSERS_root

This file contains all of the accounts on the server, including username.

Surely this isnt right?

Anyone else experiencing this?

I just checked this out myself, and your right it does do that. Going to submit a ticket to cpanel about it now.

This issue has been addressed. Please see the following bug report:

The current build of CURRENT is: 10.9.0-CURRENT_70.

Please update your software to apply the fix (/scripts/upcp).

Hmmm, this doesnt look like its fixed:-

root@server [/home/user/.cpanel-datastore]# cat /usr/local/cpanel/version
10.9.0-CURRENT_70
root@server4 [/home/user/.cpanel-datastore]# ls -l|grep root
-rw------- 1 user user 9079 Nov 17 10:53 reseller_RESELLERSUSERS_root

This is after deleting it and then logging back into the users cpanel.

Fix verified in latest beta. Neither ROOT nor RESELLER logins leave this file
behind, or create it while logged into a user account.
