    Hi,

    I am using the configserver explorer to free up my /boot drive and removing some old kernals

    Code:
     yum remove kernel-2.6.32-642.4.2.el6.x86_64
    but its taking a long time for only 131 MB of space, its been about 7 min now.

    Has anyone else experienced this and is this nomal?

    Hi,

    The best way to have the old kernel removed is using yum-utils..

    # yum install yum-utils
    # package-cleanup --oldkernels --count=2

    To make it permanent:
    Edit /etc/yum.conf or /etc/dnf/dnf.conf and set installonly_limit:
    installonly_limit=2

    Hello,

    You may want to report the issue to CSF's support team if you'd like them to take a closer look and verify the feature is working as it should.

    Thank you.
