Hi List,
The smarthost option which can be set in the Exim basic configuration currently only works for outbound mail. It does not cover the local mail. So, for example, if dave@server1 sends an email to john@server1, it does not get sent to the smarthost and is delivered directly to john's mailbox.
This creates a problem when you want all mail, including local mail, to go through the smarthost. I've done a whole lot of tests trying a variety of configurations, it just doesn't work, and local mail stays local.
Cpanel tech support has confirmed that can't be done with the existing setup and advised that I find an Exim guru in the forums!
Anyone who can help?
Regards,
Norman
