Hi I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing this issue?

I have a new server that is running 11.40 and the cpbackup cron is set to run at 2am in the crontab.

I changed the backup cron time using the "Configure cPanel Cron Jobs" feature in WHM - but it hasn't worked. The backup still runs at 2am - I guess, due to the fact that there is a specific job set up to do that in crontab.

I don't know if this feature is supposed to be a simple way to edit the crontab via WHM, or whether there is a secondary mechanism in place. Either way, it's not working.

Anyone had this problem?

That feature only works if your using the old legacy backup, its a bug that cpanel techs are working on. To change the time edit the cron job from CLI as root, you will see two cron backups listed, edit /usr/local/cpanel/bin/backup
Code:
crontab -e
