I want a domain on the server that will not receive email but be forced to go to DNS for delivery. I have a problem in that any other account on the same server that sends mail to this domain will have it delivered to the domain because the mail server is configured to deliver locally first.

I would like to do this to only one account on the server. Any suggestions?

place in the domain in the remotedomains file.

hi,
seems more and more people are going to use 3rd party mail solutions, like google.

you should also edit the localdomains file and remove the entry there
and place in the domain in the "remotedomains file"

see ya,

Hi,

/etc/remotedomains is for domains without lokal delivery.

I manage with this file more than 20 Domains.

Kind regards

Actually it is because this is a failover account and I want all mail delivered only to the primary server which has backup mail services.

Thanks for the advice. I'll try that.
