Hello,
Not really sure if this is the proper place to ask this question, but I couldn't really find a sub-forum that I felt fit.
I have a VPS that I rent. It's not big, but I have root access. I also have WHM and cPanel installed and configured. Right now, I'm the only user. I have a friend who might want to setup a website. I wanted to know if it was possible, and if so, how I'd go about doing it, to give him access to my server.
I want it where he doesn't have root access (so probably no WHM) and I don't want him to have access to my website pages. I would want to implement disk quotas. We can pretend that my domain name is example.com. He'd have his own domain name, maybe notexample.com. So he'd register the DNS name, notexample.com and it'd point to my server, but somehow, if people went to notexample.com, the document root directory would be /home/myfriend/public_html, rather than /home/me/public_html.
Is this possible and if so, are there any documents on how to do what I want to do? I'm not really even sure what to put in google or what to search for here on the forums to try and figure out how to do what I want to do. Not sure what this would be called.
Thanks!
