OK, for starters, I'd like to say that the SpamAssassin configuration available via the cPanel interface is woefully inadequate for my needs. Hopefully in future releases it can be overhauled.
So, I'd like to know how I (as the system admin) can modify a few important things about SpamAssassin configuration; I have root shell access to the machine.
For example, I'm getting a lot of bouncebacks, and I think making SpamAssassin use 20_vbounce.cf would block a lot of these, but I don't know how to make it use that ruleset with cPanel's exim integration. How do I do it?
And does /etc/mail/spamassassin/local.cf get looked at? I tried putting "ok_locales en" in there (I get a ton of Chinese, Korean, etc. messages I don't want) but it seems to have made no difference.
