recieved this email

Your system upgrade to cPanel & WHM includes a free SSL certificate for your server's hostname. This email confirms that the system will soon automatically download and install your free SSL certificate.

Comodo™ cross-signs your new certificate, which 99.9% of browsers trust. Your free certificate will renew automatically, less than one week before its expiration date, at no cost to you.

Now i am a rookie when it comes down to this so i need some help if possible. and my server charges crazy amounts to do anything.

now it looks like this was an automatic update and installed everything but it left some things weird for me

i have 4 domains connected to the server. each with its own ip

now 3 of these domains all now can be accessed with https://

1 was left with the error

The owner of website has configured their website improperly. To protect your information from being stolen, Firefox has not connected to this website.

and also now the cpanel ip also gets that flag. what and where do i go about changing this so everything on the server all follows this certificate.

please keep it simple terms since i am not a guru in anyway with this lol. thanks

Hello,

Certificates generated through the AutoSSL feature rely on domain validation. It can sometimes take a few hours for domain validation to complete, so that may explain the delay in the SSL certificate for the remaining domain name. You can always review the AutoSSL logs under the "Logs" tab in "WHM >> Manage AutoSSL" to see what happened. The AutoSSL feature is documented at:

Manage AutoSSL - Documentation - cPanel Documentation

You may also find this document helpful regarding Domain TLS for services such as cpsrvd and dovecot:

Regarding the IP address, no you won't receive a SSL certificate for the IP address itself. There's a PDF here that explains the reason certificate authorities do not issue SSL certificates for IP address:

Thank you.
