Confused with the new backup on WHM

On previous whm versions i used to manually backup using the "/scripts/cpbackup" command from SSH (if i need).

Now, coming to my question, i have completely disabled the "legacy Backup" and i'm only using the new backup feature. will the same command work with new backup solution.

And, why only the backup configuration page, Backup User Selection page has different UI style(i like that) and not all pages.

The new backup script is located at:

/usr/local/cpanel/bin/backup

The updated UI was part of the backup improvements. You will likely see similar UI improvements for other areas of WHM in the future, but there is no specific time frame on that.
