Connect Wixsite to cPanel without messing up Email server

I have made a Wix Site and I would like to connect it to a domain that is attached to a website (naturally removing this old website) hosted here on cPanel. There are no clear instructions for this so I wanted help with it.
Moreover, I read somewhere that it can cause problems to your email servers on Cpanel, so I want to avoid that as well.

To have the domain point to the wix site you'd just change the DNS for the site where DNS is managed. Once the DNS for the site is changed you can remove any site data associated with the site on the cPanel server.
