Connecting cPanel with CAS

I am the manager of a group that offers cPanel-based web hosting services to faculty, staff, students and departments at Princeton University. Because of security reasons we would like to have our cPanel systems use our Central Authentication Service (CAS) for login validation instead of having local passwords.

If anyone has practical advice or instructions on how to connect cPanel/WHM with CAS (or any other standard authentication system external to cPanel) I would greatly appreciate hearing from you on this forum.
