Connection with Database:confused:

    how to setup a connection to the remote database..
    what is the format...
    for example...
    i have created a database with the name CatchQatar and our domain name is
    how can we specify it in the java connection string

    there is an option called "ADD HOST" in side MySQL in cpanel.. what value should be added to that.

    If the database catchqatar is on the same server where is hosted you are not required to add Remote host. You just need to have localhost in your connection string.

    If the database catchqatar is on some different server than where is hosted you are required to first add Remote Host in the database section (if that DB is on a cPanel server) on the DB server. You then need to have DB server IP in your connection string.
