Considerations for a high bandwidth server

Hi,

I'm about to purchase a dedicated server that will have at least 1 TB (terabyte) of monthly traffic for one domain, mostly MP3 downloads.

What would you suggest I consider for purchasing this server?

It is likely that the serverr will receive a few ddos attacks, as there will be well known people and it is usually the case in this type of domains.

You'll probably need:

1. A tolerant NOC

2. A NOC with good DOS/DDOS network protection (most of the larger NOC's provide that service for free these days)

3. Perhaps multiple NIC's

4. Keep your high risk sites on separate IP addresses incase you have to nullroot them due to excessive abuse
