Converting Subdomain to a new account

Ok - total n00b here...

I've got a subdomain from a reseller that wants to split off and become its own account.

I know cPanel probably has a function for this via parking or whatnot, but I'm too new to get some of the terminology.

Any help would be appreciated!

1. you can get a new account and move the contents of the sub-domain under the public_html folder.

2. ask the reseller to make your new domain an add-on domain tothe sub-domain folder or to say make it parked over the current sub-domain.

I was hoping for a more automatic approach - possibly keeping the sub-domains passwords and databases.

But thanks - this should work even without the fancy automatic type solution!
