I copied an account from my other Cpanel server to a new Cpanel server but the copied account has lesser disk usage compare to the old server.

Old server says Cpanel user has 1219MB but after transferring to the new server, the disk space usage on the new server says 811MB only.

There was no error during the account transfer. Other accounts that I transferred were fine.

What can be the cause of this disk space discripancy?

Hello :)

You can review the "Disk Space Usage" option in cPanel for the account in each server. It should output what's contributing to the disk space usage so you can get a better idea of why less usage is reported on the new server.

Thank you.

On the new Server, I checked Cpanel Disk Space usage and found this:

1,201.05 MB total disk space used.
2,000.00 MB quota limit (811.26 MB used).

On the old Server, User's CPanel Disk Space usage displays almost the same as above.

What does this mean - two info about disk space used?

Where do you notice the discrepancy that you reported in your original post? Have you tried using the "du" and "quota" commands to compare the usage reported in each server?

Thank you.
