    Hello,

    we are currently moving around 100 accounts from one server to another. Now there seems to be a little problem after completing this task. Once we try to access copied accounts we get the following error by accessing PHP scripts:

    We are aware what the open_basedir restriction does (preventing users to read folders not owned by them) BUT - and this is a big BUT the scripts do NOT access any folders not owned by the users in question.

    The index.php file that generated this error for example just contains functions like:

    <?php
    if ($do == "something") {
    include "something.php";
    }
    ?>

    That said it happens to all copied accounts and turning off
    open_basedir restriction is no option as we provide free web hosting so this is required.

    Any idea what could be causing this?

    Thank you

    Turn it off (which will remove the open basedir restrictions), then turn it back on again.

    See if that helps.
