I'm a novice sysadmin, and very new to cPanel. Thank you in advance and please forgive my ignorance. We have a client who wishes to:
clone account.com to
dev1.account.com
rename account database and users.
With special instructions "Please be sure that the curent 'account' database and account.com website aren't affected by this."
I am trying to find a way to accomplish this with little to no downtime, which I am not sure if its possible.
I found this tutorial, and many like it, geroldm.com/2012/01/copy-or-duplicate-cpanel-account-to-new-domain/ and it seems fairly straight forward but I have never done this before. How much downtime should I expect. Or is there an easier way to do this?
