as of very recent, my server has been creating core dump files in all users home directories that have php scripts. Now you google things and they say to disable plugins or cms modules, but I have a hard time believing that all user accounts are using incompatible plugins.

The files are the name "core.XXXXX" where the X's are a random number.

Has anyone else experienced this issue or have a fix for it?

    Fix

Edit file /etc/init.d/httpd and add following under ulimit -n which will disable generation of core dump file on your server.

    HTML:
    ulimit -c 0

    :)

I did try this, but the next time my server was rebooted that line was removed.
